An adrenal cocktail is a (non-alcoholic) drink that supplies minerals to the body and hydration to the cells. Our water no longer contains the minerals it used to, so drinking an adrenal cocktail 1-2x a day helps support cellular hydration, energy, electrolytes etc. Drinking lots of filtered water without minerals can actually be dehydrating! When the body is well hydrated, the skin functions optimally. Ultimately for the skin specifically, topical hydration is the most beneficial if you are trying to directly increase the hydration of just the skin. About 2% of internal hydration effects the skin. But we know our bodies are 80% water and internal hydration matters!
Typically there should be aprox the following ratios. But, some people feel better with more or less of one of the other depending on their needs. For instance, during pregnancy I felt good having more potassium. It helped with water retention and leg cramping at night.

Winter Pomegranate Adrenal Cocktail Recipe
1/3 cup pomegranate juice (185 mg potassium) – I like Lakewood Organic brand
Yes, this is about 8-10 grams of naturally occurring sugar. But sugar is needed to supply the cells with hydration!
1/4 tsp cream of tartar (125 mg potassium)
1/8/-1/4 tsp sea salt (290 mg sodium) I like Baja Gold or Jacobsen Salt
1/8 tsp whole food vitamin C (120 mg vitamin C) Pure Synergy or Perfect Supplements
3/4 tbsps bioavailable magnesium (280 mg magnesium, 100 mg sodium)
1/3-1/2 cup filtered water
Mix well and enjoy 1-2x a day. 1 hour before or after a meal.
