Waxing and sugaring have been around for years. We have loved sugaring since 2012 and here are many of the reasons/comparisons why!
SUGARING
All-natural, made of sugar, lemon, and water.
Hair can be as short as 1/4th Inch and is removed in the direction of growth, reducing breakage and ingrown hairs.
The sugar paste is not hot, so there is no chance of burning or lifting the skin.
Less exfoliating, so the skin is left feeling soft and smooth with reduced redness.
A hot towel removes any residual sugar, leaving you wIth no post-treatment stickiness.
The sugar paste is used on the whole body area being treated, which reduces waste and worries of unsanitary practices.
WAXING
Made of chemicals, resins and preservatives.
Hair needs to be 1/4th inch long and is pulled in the opposite direction of growth, Allowing a greater chance of breakage and ingrown hairs.
Wax is hot and if not used properly can burn or lift the skin.
Very exfoliating and leaves the skin senstive, red and irritated.
Skin can be left sticky after treatment.
Sticks and strips are used to remove wax leaving you to wonder if the practitioner double dips sticks. This also creates waste.
