You’re getting married and you want your skin to look it’s best. Here is our treatment timeframe plan and product recommendations before the big day!
6-12 months before:
If you’re getting married and have serious skin goals to improve, we recommend starting to get monthly facials 6-12 months in advance. This may also include peels during cooler months. (October-March). Start with the Clear + Glow Facial and we’ll recommend whats best for your skin for future treatments. If you experience back breakouts, ask us about body care or back facials too.
3 months before:
Commit to no skin picking! A breakout can last a few days, but post breakout dark marks from picking can last months. Have Anti-Bump Solution and Rapid Response Detox Masque on hand for any breakouts that pop up.
Get monthly facial treatments and wear SPF religiously.
Start weekly mini facial treatments with Triple Berry Smoothing Peel, or a Peel Pad on your face, neck and decolette to gently exfoliate, brighten and keep skin clear. Follow with some facial massage (video) and after removing the oil, use a hydrating Sheet Mask.
One month before:
Stick to what’s working. Now is not the time to try any new products.
Avoid dairy if you’re prone to breakouts. Try avoiding dairy for 2 weeks and you might be surprised how your skin improves. Keeping sugar low is helpful too!
Sleep 8 hours a night. Sleep is not only important when it comes to keeping dark circles at bay, but also to allow the body time to repair and relax. Stress and lack of sleep won’t help your skin!
Get a facial. The final facial before your wedding should be all about skin smoothing by way of gentle exfoliation, relaxing massage and hydration. We’ll make sure to keep extractions to a minimum to avoid unneeded redness.
Limit alcohol. Alcohol leads to puffiness and lack of skin glow. For any alcoholic you drink, follow it up with a four to eight-ounce glass of water, which will prevent unnecessary puffiness. Or, simply avoid it altogether.
Avoid crying (if possible). This one’s hard since it’s normal to shed some tears during such a happy celebration. However, if at all possible, avoid crying, since it causes the eyes to swell, resulting in excessive under-eye puffiness.
The day before:
Use Triple Berry Smoothing Peel, or a Peel Pad on your face, neck and decolette to gently exfoliate and help you glow for the big day. Follow with some facial massage (video) and after removing the oil, use a hydrating Sheet Mask.
Day of:
Before cleansing your skin, perform some facial massage (video) and after cleansing to remove the oil, use a hydrating Sheet Mask before your other skincare products. Don’t forget some TLC for your neck and decolette too!
Relax and enjoy your special day!
