I’ve known about microcurrent for many years, but just in the last year or so I started using it on myself. Microcurrent is a n electrical device that is like pilates for the face. Small, intentional pulsations/electrical current. Think of it like exercising for the face. With consistent use, facial muscles can be stimulated and will be more tight and toned. It also gives an instant radiance to the skin after use!
BENEFITS
Enhances contour and visible lift.
Reduces fine lines.
Boosts circulation for a lift from within look.
Lymphatic drainage & detoxification – Reduces puffiness, flushes out toxins, and minimizes redness for a clearer, more radiant complexion.
Improves skins texture.
Increases ATP (energy for your cells).
Oxygenates the skin.
Increases collagen and elastin formation.
Builds muscle memory and re-educates the muscles for deep tissue stimulation and lift.
Enhances Skincare Absorption – Optimizes the penetration of serums and active ingredients.

It is said you can use it with botox, but because it stimulates facial muscles, I think it’s best not to use with botox as botox works by paralyzing the muscles.
For the last 6 months or so I have been using this at home device. Like gua sha, face taping etc., consistency is key to seeing results. I like to start with almost every day for a month. Then once results are built up, drop down to 3-4 days a week.
What I love about this device:
It’s comfortable and easy to use.
It’s rechargeable.
It has an app (free) with easy to follow along routines.
Relatively inexpensive gel that is used with it. (They have others, but this is the only one I have tried.)
This device also uses nano current technology which stimulates skin cells for deeper repair and collagen production beyond just muscle tone.
Microcurrent works by using a conductive gel on clean skin. You can’t just use any product or it will block the electric current that makes it effective. Some gels dry up, but I love that this one doesn’t.
You can purchase one for yourself HERE and use code “katie” (from another Esthetician) to get 10% off your device.
What the Halo isn’t great for is specifically treating smaller areas. The eyes, around the lips etc. Plus, it would be too strong and uncomfortable. For the eyes and lips we love our Eye Rejuvenator Device. This device also has thermal heat therapy/warmth that can be so helpful for morning puffiness, and it feels amazing!
